Apply, verify, receive

Apply on your phone

Open your lender’s apply link. Enter your name, BVN, NIN and bank account number. Capture a face video. Upload a government-issued ID. The whole thing fits on one mobile screen and takes around four minutes.

Verify through Dojah

YT Finance sends your BVN and NIN to Dojah for verification — usually back in eight seconds. The face video is matched against your ID photo. Your record lands in the lender’s KYC queue for review.

Receive into your bank

Once approved, YT Finance settles the loan amount to the Nigerian bank account you provided. A Flutterwave Transfer reaches Wema, Sterling, Kuda, Moniepoint, Opay, GTB, UBA — any of 30+ banks — in thirty seconds.

Repaying

One virtual account per loan

Pay into the virtual account

Each loan generates a dedicated Flutterwave virtual account. Transfer from your bank app and the credit lands on the ledger automatically — no manual reconciliation.

Pay via hosted checkout

Prefer card? Open the Flutterwave hosted checkout link from your loan page and complete the payment. Same ledger, same crediting logic.

Track every loan

Your loan page shows every active loan, amount remaining and next payment due. Up to three concurrent loans per borrower, transactionally enforced.

Borrower FAQ

The questions worth asking

How long does the decision take?
Dojah BVN verification returns in roughly eight seconds. The lender then approves or rejects from their KYC queue. Most lenders work the queue within business hours, so a decision typically comes back the same day.
What documents do I need?
Your BVN, your NIN, a clear face video taken on the phone, and a photo of a government-issued ID (driver’s licence, voter’s card, international passport, or national ID card).
Which banks can receive the loan?
Any Nigerian bank that Flutterwave Transfers reaches — Wema, Sterling, Kuda, Moniepoint, Opay, GTB, UBA, Access and roughly thirty more. Confirm your account number resolves to your name before submitting.
Can I have more than one loan at a time?
Up to three concurrent loans per borrower. The cap is enforced server-side with a Firestore transaction, so you can’t bypass it by submitting two applications at once.
How do I repay?
Each loan has a dedicated Flutterwave virtual account. Transfer from your bank app and the repayment auto-credits. Or open the hosted checkout link to pay by card. The lender can also record a cash repayment manually with a receipt.
What happens to my BVN and ID?
PII lives in Cloud Storage under admin-only Firebase rules. The lender only sees KYC documents while you have an active disbursed loan with them — access cuts off once the loan settles. Aligned with NDPR. Read the security posture.
What if the transfer fails?
If Flutterwave returns transfer.failed or transfer.reversed on the webhook, YT Finance auto-refunds the wallet and surfaces the incident to the lender admin. You’re never debited for a transfer that didn’t reach you.
